Decarbonation of a university hospital in Dakar, Senegal

In support of PodOne DHBC's development initiatives and with the backing of @DG Trésor, Enviroearth has built the solar power station at FANN hospital in Dakar. This new station is the Renewable Energies component of the “e-Santé Décarbonnée” project of the AAP “Décarbonations des services essentiels”, supported by France via the FASEP scheme.

The project aims to set up telemedicine tools and methods, and a secure supply of clean energy. Ultimately, many regional and isolated health centers in West Africa will benefit from these technologies, giving them remote access to the medical skills of the FANN hospital.

The power plant has been designed to meet the plant's priority energy needs. The roof of the neurosurgery pavilion was used to install a solar array of over 60kWp. The vast majority of the components used are of French (panels, structures) and European (inverters) origin. The park was inspected, tested and commissioned at the beginning of April 2023.

For this project, Enviroearth dimensioned the hybrid solar power plant; supplied and installed the equipment on site; managed the logistics phase and shipment of the equipment, as well as the training of local personnel...
