Power supply upgrades, maintenance and renovation services
When an unforeseen natural event occurs, such as lightning striking a critical power line, all the metering stations powered by that line cease to function, interrupting all data transmission.
For this project, it took fourteen days of intensive effort by our on-site team, our customer, and the local team to restore operation to the 8 affected measurement sites. This intervention also enabled us to develop a more sustainable solution to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Major challenges
The entire project involved walking 10 km / day, over sharp volcanic rock, with sites only accessible on foot and spaced between 500 m and 1 km apart.
For this project, Enviroearth was responsible for project management, installation of new equipment and re-commissioning of the various sites.
