Energy system upgrade for a seismic station in Paso Flores
In July 2023, our team returned from Argentina after two weeks in Paso Flores, Patagonia, to modernize the power system of a seismic station.
As part of a framework contract, our customer wished to replace certain components of the seismic station's power supply system due to frequent power cuts reported in June and July.
Major challenges
This mission was punctuated by numerous challenges, including the supply of materials on site, complex logistics due to the site's isolation (requiring the transport of solar panels in 4x4 vehicles), and weather conditions making access to the site and technical interventions difficult.
For this project, Enviroearth took charge of the complete management, including the study and design of the new equipment within an existing electrical system, coordination with the various partners, the purchase and shipment of all equipment, and the installation and complete modernization of the station on site.
